ABOUT CDF

The Crystal Dreams Foundation is a nonprofit public benefit corporation that was established by Timothy and Pam Coffey. The Coffey’s realize the importance of giving back to the community especially where children and families are concerned. In many communities, children are being "left behind" by the education system, and the Crystal Dreams wants to put them back in the race.

The Crystal Dreams Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial assistance for students to attend college, fine arts or trade school. These are students who might otherwise be unable to continue their education without financial support. Recipients are encouraged to participate in the foundation programs and use the foundation as an opportunity to give something back to the community themselves.

The Crystal Dreams Foundation, along with TEC Management Consultants is proud to have collaborated with Major League Baseball to make a sustainable impact on the quality of life of economically and socially underserved youths. TEC was contracted by MLB to build a Youth Academy, a permanent facility located at Compton College in California, which is substantially financed, owned and operated by MLB with the support of local governments and youth organizations.

The first of its kind, this facility offers youths year-round instruction for boys and girls, in activities such as baseball and softball. The center has four baseball fields, including one Show Field that is modeled after a professional ball field. The program has a full-time coaching staff, which will include some former Major and Minor League players, managers and coaches. The Academy offers academic support and instruction through workshops and other programs. It takes advantage of the adjacent Compton College facilities, which allows access to classrooms and computer rooms.

The Crystal Dreams Foundation and TEC are enthusiastic about supporting this initiative.
Creating opportunities for underserved youths is a priority of CDF. The Annual Crystal Dreams Foundation Charity Golf Tournament, for which TEC is the presenting sponsor, benefits the Youth Academy along with many other Foundation programs.
