The Founders
Timothy & Pamela Coffey
Mr. Timothy and Mrs. Pamela Coffey began their philanthropic mission more than 20 years ago. They realized the need to help deserving students in underserved communities who often lacked the financial resources to attain a college education.
Mr. and Mrs. Coffey founded The Crystal Dreams Foundation to provide scholarships to help alleviate some of the financial stress that these students and their families face in order to pursue their dream of higher education. The S.T.E.P.U.P program, one of the many programs offered by Crystal Dreams, was also created to teach high school students practical life skills as well as useful job skills. The Coffey’s realized that for some students, access to positive role models was important. By also providing students with hands-on paid job experience taught by successful entrepreneurs, business owners and professionals in their community, these students can envision the fulfillment of their dreams and the road to a successful future for themselves.
Mr. Coffey is a graduate of Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and Mrs. Coffey has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic University. Together they founded TEC Constructors & Engineers in 1988. Since then, the company has grown to over 200 employees and has become one of the top performing firms in Southern California.
